Uniqlo
From the most recent One Thing newsletter: Uniqlo makes clothes to “improve human existence”. I'm not sure about improving my existence but I do like the few bits & bobs that I've picked up from Uniqlo over the years. They're durable and reliable; warm when it's cold outside and cool when it's warm outside.
When I lived in Japan, it was expected that expats would drop in to Uniqlo to equip for the autumn and the winter ahead; and every October, even folks out in the countryside would joke about making the 2.5-hour trek to Asahikawa to visit Uniqlo for some HeatTech before the cold settled in.
